Art of the Pie: Texas with Kate McDermott
This is the original hands-on Art of the Pie 4-hour workshop. Included in each workshop class are all ingredients, recipes, yummy snack and more. You will learn the lifetime skill of how to make the Kate's Art of the Pie Crust, seasonal fruit filling, pie lore plus so much more! Each student will finish class with a pie hot from the oven or ready to bake at home. Included in your class are a pie pan, take home ingredients so you can make another dough as soon as possible, and a signed copy of Kate McDermott's book ART OF THE PIE: A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO CRUSTS, FILLINGS, AND LIFE which received a 2017 James Beard Nominations and has been called "one of the best books written on the subject." Kate McDermott, the creator and founder of Art of the Pie®, has taught the time-honored craft of pie making to thousands and is one of the most highly sought-after culinary instructors nationally. Her work has been featured in "Saveur" Magazine's Top 100 Issue, Washington Post, USA Today and New York Times. Widely acknowledged as one of the best makers of pie ever, she has received high praise from Dorie Greenspan, Elise Bauer (Simply Recipes), Ruth Reichl, David Leibovitz and many others.
