Backyard Birds Photography Workshop ~ 2021

Saturday, February 13, 2021, 6:00 PM

Join pro wildlife photographer, Jeff Parker for this full-day central-Texas “Backyard Bird Photography Workshop” and learn to create better images of the birds that visit your backyard!
TWO (2) SEPARATE one-day “Backyard Birds Photography Workshops” offered.
~ Each with space for only SIX (6):

Saturday, February 13, 2021
~ OR ~
Sunday, February 14, 2021

We’ll talk about how to create photo-worthy perches and backyard bird photography set-ups. Artistic elements will be covered, including how to put together set-ups that result in visually appealing images, tips on composing bird photographs, the best lighting for photographing birds, and other key issues regarding getting good images of these quick-flying subjects.

I’ll provide in-depth instruction regarding the ideal placement of set-ups, perches, feeders, blinds, etc. so that the birds — and you — will be in the best position(s) for photography and good backgrounds.

Equipment obviously plays a key role in getting good images — both photography equipment AND that related to attracting birds to your backyard. Thus, we’ll focus also on those topics, including taking a look at your special needs given the type of yard you have, where you live, and your budget constraints.

This workshop also includes tips on how to affordably build your own backyard bird photo blind plus an afternoon photo shoot in my own affordably-built photo blinds at my small nature preserve in central Texas.

Please note that the focus of this workshop is on learning how to take what you learn so you can do better backyard-bird photography at home rather than creating images during the workshop. That said, we will spend the last couple of hours in my bird photography blinds doing some photography. We never know anymore what birds will show up in February at Red Belly Ranch to act as our winged models, but whatever they are we’ll enjoy them!

Folks have consistently told me that they’ve found this workshop chocked full of practical tips and information that they can use to photograph birds in their own backyards.

Cost: $195.00 Includes delicious meal (on-site), extensive handout packet, one-on-one instruction, lots of outdoor activities & time in the photo blinds photographing birds. MORE INFO:
