Foraging for Native Edibles

Fruits and flowers everywhere, but not a bite to eat? Learn foraging skills and discover the native plants that are safe for your plate, such as prickly pear and Texas persimmon, on this identifying and harvesting tour with an expert. This class is offered Saturdays, March 30 and May 4, 9 a.m. – noon Space is limited and registration is required. Members received discounts on registration. Learn about membership here.  $25 per person (one session) Register: March 30  May 4     Eric Knight was raised as a naturalist in Austin. He has taught classes on edible and useful plants both at the Austin Nature & Science Center and Earth Native Wilderness School and has studied herbalism at the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine. He is also a co-founder and owner at Local Leaf where he wild-harvests, brews and bottles yaupon tea.
