Location: Cedar Park TX (Austin) 2-Day training allows for regular training on the first day, with PRACTICE FACILITATION on the second day! Join us on July 15th and 16th, 2020 from 8:00am-5:00pm for 24/7 Dad® training along with other program facilitators from across the nation! Learn to implement the curriculum consistently and effectively, benefit from experienced NFI staff, and be energized by other practitioners with your same passion for serving fathers.  Topics Covered: Conceptual Development, Philosophy, Values, and Principles of the Curriculum  Curriculum Description, Format, and Topics Characteristics of a 24/7 Dad Session Descriptions and Content  How to Facilitate and implement the Curriculum in your Organization  Additional Resources available to assist with successful implementation of the Curriculum  How to leverage support from NFI You will also learn how to: Facilitate the 24/7 Dad® Programs in a group-based setting directly to dads Implement the 24/7 Dad® Programs Leverage support from NFI To be clear, this is not: A training to train individuals to train other facilitators of the program A training to use the program in a one-on-one setting (e.g. home visitation) Curriculum Requirements: Attendees must have the 24/7 Dad® Curriculum (particularly the Facilitator's Manual) with them at the training. It can be purchased when registering for the training, or attendees may bring one they have purchased previously.  About 24/7 Dad®Developed by parenting and fatherhood experts, 24/7 Dad® teaches men the characteristics they need to be good fathers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? The closest airport is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport - AUS. You will need to arrange a shuttle from the airport to Cedar Park TX, or reserve a rental car. Driving Directions from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Head SW on Presidential Blvd. Turn onto E State Hwy 71 Service Road. Stay on E State Hwy 71 for 1 mile and then take ramp onto US-183 N/S Hwy 183. Take the exit toward US183-N/Lampasas. Continue on TX-183 N for 19 miles and then stay on TX-183A Toll Rd N. After 4 miles, exit FM 1431 toward Cedar Park/Round Rock. Turn left onto FM 1421/E Whitestone Blvd. Turn right on Discovery Blvd. Hotel is straight ahead on traffic circle. How are meals handled? Participants will handle breakfast, lunch and dinner on their own. Depending on your hotel, a breakfast option may be included. Snacks and beverages will be provided by NFI during the training.
