Spit Bucket Stand Up Comedy
NO COVER. CHEAP DRINKS. GREAT STAND UP.
KICK BUTT STAND UP.
A weekly showcase of the best comics in Texas, with a no cover and good drink specials.
Show starts at nine thirty.
Spit Bucket is not for the easily offended as the name implies. We look out for the most hardcore comics Austin has to offer and man did we get lucky this week. Straight out of NYC we’ve got Adam Lucidi, a man you may have seen on Live at Gotham on AXS TV. A beast on stage you won’t forget seeing him live. We also got Angelo Vescio from Minneapolis and has already made a splash by placing 2nd at the Funniest Person in Texas Contest. Lando Shepard has taken time off touring TX to stop by and show you what makes him one of the most unique comics in TX. Only 2 years in, how did he get funny so fast? Tyler Groce, currently in Funniest Person in Austin semi-finals will be there, speaking of getting funny fast. This man doesn’t even need material, he can riff like none other. We’ll also have another current Funniest Person in Austin semi-finalist with Jered McCorkle who brings an energy to stage like none other. And yes, the fittest man in comedy, Steven Farmer, will be hosting. Just like his body, he cuts the fat with his material as well. All killer, no filler.
HOSTED BY STEVEN FARMER
Steven Farmer has been featured on SXSWi, NYC Laughing Devil Comedy Festival, multi-time finalist in the Funniest in South Texas contest, and is currently starring in the feature film ‘Metal Gamer’, (2019)
Fearless with crowd work and material, there’s a reason he’s a go to host.
He’s been on MTV, he’s won countless rap battle contests, and in only a few months in TX he’s already taken 2nd place at the Funniest in South Texas contest. This man has been getting booked constantly but luckily for us and you, we got him in time for this Tuesday.
Check out one of his rap battles.
Lando Shepard is the kind of comic we love to book at this type of show. Not scared to say what everyone wants to say, he’s the true epitome of Uppercut Comedy. He brings life experiences that no other comic in Austin can rival. He’s been on tour all over TX and is becoming one of the most sought-after comics in town. He’s an in the moment type of comic that never goes on auto-pilot. Only 2 years in the biz and Cap City Comedy Club already wants him to host and has opened on the road for Martin Lawrence.
A multi-time semifinalist in the Funniest Person in Austin contest, and currently one right now, Jered is high energy without trying to be high energy. A gay military vet, you better believe Jered is bringing something to the stage that no one else is. Another comic that we’re lucky to get before someone else booked him. Make sure to see him before he’s too famous.
Another current semi-finalist in the Funniest Person in Austin contest that will probably also be in the finals, this man can just write on stage with the one of a kind quick wittedness he’s got. Nobody is safe when Tyler Groce takes the stage. That goes for any subject as well. Only doing comedy for a short while and he’s already dominating the game. He runs his own show every Sunday at Mister Tramps as well.
From Live at Gotham on AXS TV and Time Out New York, Adam Lucidi. The Crowd Work Master, this man is a beast on stage. No two Adam Lucidi shows are ever the same. This PA native, is new to Austin but already is headlining shows and it’s no wonder. Normally headlining shows in NYC, he’s now here in Austin. And he’s bringing a level of energy that Austin isn’t ready for.
