The 4th Annual 19th Hole Party Benefiting Save Muny
Its that time of year again! On the heels of the recent one-year lease extension, please join us and our special guests at the 4th Annual 19th Hole Party as we celebrate Lions Municipal Golf Course. While the extension was an important step in the right direction, there is plenty of work still to be done over the next 12 months so that we can continue to enjoy Muny for years to come. Enjoy cocktails, food, lawn games, silent auction and other opportunities to raise funds for Save Muny, the campaign to preserve and restore Lions Municipal Golf Course for future generations. Held during the week of the WGC Dell Match Play tournament and presented by Criquet Shirts and Save Muny, this epic event will celebrate the past, present, and future of golf in Austin. It has also been named to the National Trust for Historic Places 11 Most Endangered Historic Places. Our city is in danger of losing this invaluable property to development, but Muny can still be saved with your support. "This is an iconic Austin treasure, a place where Ben Hogan and Harvey Penick battled Morris Williams Jr. and Ed Hopkins, where Sandra Haynie of O. Henry and LPGA fame won four city championships, where Crenshaw and Tom Kite honed their Hall of Fame games, and where two young black men who caddied asked to play a round at Muny in 1950 and thankfully were not denied. Hard to put a price on all that.” - Kirk Bohls, Austin American Join us at The 19th Hole to build awareness and raise funds for Save Muny, a non-profit organization working to preserve the course for generations to come.
