Wheatsville Celebrates New MetroRapid Line at Guadalupe Store
All-natural grocer Wheatsville Food Co-op is hosting a celebratory event on Thursday, April 25th to commemorate the store’s now accessible MetroRapid bus located on 31st and Guadalupe Streets. Wheatsville joins fellow co-op businesses including Black Star Co-op on the 801 and 803 MetroRapid lines, making it easier for Austinites to travel seamlessly and support local independent businesses and cooperatives.

The celebratory event will feature:
· GoodPop giveaway – Austin-based and local favorite, GoodPop, will give free all-natural frozen popsicles and $1-off coupons to the first 500 riders throughout the day on April 25th. Riders who show their valid MetroRapid bus pass will receive a complimentary tasty pop and coupon while supplies last.
· $5 Thursday dinner – Wheatsville’s weekly rotating dinner menu featuring Oven-Fried Chicken or Southern Fried Tofu, baked beans and spicy greens. Guests can dine in or take To-go on the bus!
· Ribbon cutting ceremony – City Councilmember Kathie Tovo and Cap Metro President & CEO Randy Clarke will commemorate the celebration.
