Yin Restorative Yoga: Reconnecting Mind-Body-Spirit
This is a gentle Yin practice for clients who are managing, or have managed, life with cancer. Yin yoga is a gentle practice that supports clients in a variety of floor poses designed to be practiced passively without muscle tension. Yin is a practice of declaring power over our feminine energy. It is passive, reflective and introspective. It teaches us to connect and support Self through difficult situations. Yin focuses on energy centers of the body to release blockages and increase energy flow. Shannon Prescher is a RYT-TIYT (Registered Yoga Teacher-Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher) and Holistic Integrative Mental Health Counselor with over seven years of mental health counseling experience for individuals whose lives are currently, or have been, affected by illness. Shannon is also the developer and owner of The Rooted Self, a mind-body practice that supports individuals affected by illness or disease.
